I bought a Pentax k1000 camera with a 50mm lens just got out of high school. During the pandemic, I started taking 35mm film photos and its slow and precious process gave me an outlet to cope with the stillness of life. It allowed me to just take in each moment, to observe and be patient. After being obsessed with trying out different film stocks, I have learnt that my favourite film is Kodak Portra 400. The golden colours and warm tones are not replaceable with any digital camera. Recently, I have also attended a workshop on how to shoot and develop my own super 8mm film. In the future, I hope to be able to be a part of /shoot a motion project with 16 and 35mm film stock.
